I put my senior picture in one of the previous posts, but here we behold the same, formerly happy-go-lucky, 80s youth after realizing that he fucked up big time but still wearing those cool oversized photo gray glasses. You know they’re oversized because I have a huge melon and they still look big.

No. That’s just a standard part of the uniform. In the Navy for those uniforms the rank would be on the left sleeve. The picture of me was taken in bootcamp so there wouldn’t be any kind of insignia but for a normal uniform it would look like this. BTW those are first class petty officers.
